Exclusive: INEC Approves Merging Of Three Political Parties!

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the application by three political parties – the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) – to merge into one, to be known as the All Progressives Congress.

On considering the application, the Commission found that the applicant-parties have met all statutory requirements for the merger, and has accordingly granted their request.
Consequently, the Commission has approved the withdrawal of the individual certificates of the applicant-parties, and the issuance of a single certificate to the All Progressives Congress.

In 1919, when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu…many of the farmers and their families had contracted it and many died. The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn’t believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the onion. ‘ASUU deserves its share of the National Cake’ – Past ASUU Chairman

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has insisted that the strike crippling the education sector will persist until the Federal Government finds the money needed to meet their demands. Immediate past chairman of the union at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof. Aloysius Okolie disclosed this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu.
