Wizkid Blasts J-Martins Over 'Broke' Comment   The recent 'harsh' comment made to a fan by Wizkid has refused to stop generating more reactions. Wizkid had replied a 'fan' on twitter and called him 'broke' after the twitter follower corrected his bad English on the same social media platform.    Wizkid had earlier wrote, "an hangover" instead of 'a hangover', which a fan called his attention to and wrote, "naxxo u gbagaun for music sef #20man smh tho... c d reason y u shld get back 2 sch. lol." Wizkid then replied, "broke people always think they have an opinion."   The incident has resulted into a wide range of condemnation with many slamming the young artiste.    Speaking recently in an interview with a radio station, hi-life musician, J-Martins, picked on his colleague for calling a fan 'broke'.    However, Wizkid has reacted to J-Martins comment. He said, "J.

Pop star Madonna was the world’s top-earning celebrity over the past year, trumping the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg . The 55-year-old Material Girl made an estimated $125m (£80m) thanks to her MDNA tour, clothing and fragrance lines, according to Forbes. Popular director Steven Spielberg was at number two with $100m (£64m). Most of his earnings came from his back catalogue of film hits such as ET and Jurassic Park – which has just been released in 3D to mark its 20th anniversary – as well as last year’s Oscar winning Lincoln. The director also takes a cut of all ticket sales at Universal Studios theme parks. Third place was a three-way tie between 50 Shades of Grey author EL James, Simon Cowell and shock jock Howard Stern, with earnings of $95m (£61m). Rooney could make United U-turn

Image
Wayne Rooney seems set to stay at Manchester United after appearing to opt against submitting a transfer request. Chelsea have had two bids for the England striker rejected and manager Jose Mourinho had said he was likely to return with a third offer. But after the two clubs drew 0-0 at Old Trafford on Monday, Mourinho said it was up to Rooney to force the issue by publicly declaring he wanted to leave United and giving him a 48-hour deadline to act. And it is understood that Rooney has instead chosen to remain at Old Trafford, bringing an end to a saga that has dominated the summer. The 27-year-old was brought back into the United team for Monday's draw, making his first start for the club since April. Manager David Moyes has been adamant that he won't sell Rooney and the United fans gave him a generous ovation, despite the possibility he would leave for one of their rivals.

J Martins vs Wizkid

Image
Last week, Wizkid told a fan 'that broke people always think they have an opinion' after the fan rudely corrected his English - a comment that angered quite a number of the pop star's fans. Singer J Martins in a recent interview on a radio station reacted to Wizkid’s outburst, saying: I'm not taking any side, don’t mean no beef, no disrespect, and no hate but let the truth be told. I don’t believe because you feel you have a few change you didn’t have a few years ago and which you cannot guarantee having in a few years to come then you wake up and look at those people who have cheered you up, loved you, supported your music, bought your CD’s, prayed for you, just because you can lay your hands on some phone and you call them ‘poor’.   I'm not in and will never be in support of anyone who has such bad attitude. It needs to be corrected, we owe our fans the duty of being good examples that’s why they hold us in high esteem, that’s why you are a rol

US Open: Murray starts title defence

Image
Andy Murray strolled into the US National Tennis Centre on Saturday without a care in the world, brimming with confidence and self-belief as he prepares to defend his US Open title as the competition serves off on Monday. Signing autographs and joking with the media, the Scotsman’s relaxed demeanour could not have been any different than when he arrived at Flushing Meadows a year ago. And this time he plans to do something he forgot to last year. He wants to enjoy himself. In 2012, Murray arrived in New York still searching for his first grand slam title. He had won the Olympic gold medal but the grand slams had eluded him and he continued to be pestered about why he had not broken through. That all changed under the bright lights of New York when he defeated world number one Novak Djokovic in a nerve-tingling five-setter, to end his own drought and become the first British man in 76 years to win the US Open. Returning this year as the defending champion has re

Suntai ready for work, sends a letter to the state house of assembly

A letter purportedly signed by the ailing governor of Taraba State, Danbaba Suntai, seeking to resume his office, was today received by the Speaker of the House of Assembly. Mr. Suntai, who suffered serious brain injury in an air crash in Nigeria in October last year, was flown back from the United States yesterday by a cabal desperate to maintain control of political power in the state despite the governor’s evident incapacitation.  Doctors in the United States have said it is unlikely he will recover sufficiently to lead a normal life. Upon his return yesterday, he appeared confused and was repeatedly being helped around by a circle of officials.  Neither in Abuja, at the airport in Jalingo nor at the Governors’s Lodge did he utter a word for, against or about anything.  SaharaReporters has consistently reported on his near-vegetative state and inability to function normally. In the letter to the Assembly, sources say the governor claims that he has fully recovered
