Nicholas Kirkwood’s London Fashion Week Makeover

NICHOLAS KIRK WOOD is giving London Fashion Week a makeover. The footwear designer will be responsible for all the creative branding for the spring/summer 2014 London show schedule in September - designing the artwork for all press and marketing materials.
The imagery will feature his signature chevron pattern and incorporate his love of bold geometric and architecturally inspired prints - as seen in his hugely successful shoe line. He will also redesign the courtyard of Somerset House, which will incorporate an "interactive and reflective element", to bring a new experience to visitors. "It's a great privilege to be able to team up with the BFC on this exciting project and apply my interpretation to the London Fashion Week campaign," said Kirkwood. "I've taken elements of my work and designed a pattern that I feel reflects the bold nature and energy of London Fashion Week."
Kirkwood follows Manolo Blahnik and Jonathan Saunders in designing London Fashion Week artwork.
"It's wonderful to be able to collaborate with designers on the London Fashion Week creative - it brings a personal element and a new, exciting dimension to each season," said Caroline Rush, CEO of the BFC. "Nicholas's creative vision: a bold palette, sharp graphic lines and his signature chevron pattern have real impact
