Uncertainties as Gov Suntai arrives in Abuja; driven to Taraba

Taraba State Governor Danbaba Fulani Suntai has finally arrived Nigeria  after spending almost  ten months in German and American hospitals where he was being treated for injuries sustained in a aircraft crash last year.   Exactly 2.18pm today, the governor arrived at the Namadi Azikwe International Airport Abuja.   The governor, who arrived aboard a chattered flight, was received by several top officials of the Taraba State government.   However, contrary to the expectation that the governor would proceed to the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a rousing welcome reception from President Goodluck Jonathan, he headed straight to Jalingo, Taraba State Capital, after spending 25 minutes acknowledging cheers from well-wishers at the airport.   Prior to his arrival, there have been mixed speculations about the state of health of Suntai. While many speculated that the governor situation was critical, PDP leadership held a contary view.   It would be recalled that Suntai was involved in a helicopter crash which he flew with some of his aides on October 25, 2012.
