Bernardo Silva tweet condemned by Kick It Out

Bernardo Silva’s Social media post about teammate Benjamin Mendy has been met with stiff criticism, including condemnation from Kick It Out.
The Portuguese midfielder posted a photo of Mendy as a child alongside a dated image from Spanish Confectionary ‘Conguitos ‘ that has been criticized for its racial connotations, with the caption : Guess who?
Mendy did not appear to take offense, replying with a laughing emojis and a message saying: 1-0 for you will see”, but other twitter users were quick to point the racial implications of Benardo Silva’s post.

And we have a new party Barring any last minute hitch, a new political party will berth in the already charged Nigerian political turf this week. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirmed on Wednesday that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and some Governors of the crisis-ridden ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have applied for the registration of a group, Peoples Progressive Movement (PPM), as a political party. The commission said it is processing the application. The Daily Independent is reporting that among the Governors who are promoting the new political association are Murtala Nyako of Adamawa, Babangida Aliyu of Niger, Sule Lamido of Jigawa and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano – the same folks who have been touring the country (under the Peoples Democratic Party umbrella of course), purporting to be on a mission to save our democracy.

Sony sets date for PS4 release

This date coincides with where many suspected it would land. With the holiday rush in full swing at that time of the year, it was a no-brainer for Sony to release their fourth generation proper console then. Before today’s official announcement of the PS4 release date, it was confirmed by Sony that the PlayStation 4 would come out “Holiday 2013.” The PS4 was first unveiled during Sony’s E3 2013 press conference. The console has an italicized equals sign look, and will retail for £349 / €399 / $399. One of the largest draws to the PS4 over Microsoft’s Xbox One was that the PS4 will not require an Internet connection, and used games will not be blocked.
