SENATE NEWS: Mark Condoles Jigawa over D-Speaker’s death, Commiserates with Suswam over Aides’ demise

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark yesterday commiserated with the government and People of Jigawa State over the death of the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Inuwa Sule Udi Ringim in a ghastly motor accident along Kano – Ringim road.
The condolence message was contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday by Chief Press Secretary to the Senate President, Mr. Paul Mumeh.
According to the statement, Senator Mark also sent a message of condolence to the government and people of Benue State over the untimely death of the Special Adviser to Governor Gabriel Suswam on Security matters, Patrick Gwar in Makurdi.
In a separate message to the governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Sule Lamido and his Benue state counterpart Suswam, Senator Mark lamented that both Ringim and Gwar died in their primes when their services were most needed by their families, their states and the nation at large.
He specifically regretted that Ringim departed with his rich and deep legislative experience needed to build a strong legislature and ultimately strengthen our democracy, adding that, “Ringim was an apostle of good governance and a crusader for dividend of democracy to the ordinary people”.
The statement further said Senator Mark noted the contributions of Ringim especially in the propagation of democracy through his robust legislative agenda as a presiding officer in the Jigawa state House of Assembly and urged his colleagues to uphold and sustain the vibrancy for which Ringim was known.
He therefore enjoined the government and people of Jigawa state especially the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that late Ringim lived a short but eventful and accomplished life worthy of emulation.
In the same vein, Senator Mark told the government and people of Benue state to take heart on the demise of the Special Adviser to Governor Suswam on Security matters Patrick Gwar, saying that the Security expert left a positive foot print on the sand of time.
He noted the expertise of late Gwar on Security issues during his tenure pointing out that his proactive approach to security matters prevented criminal activities and made the state one of the safest states in the country.
He also prayed that the Almighty God grant the deceased eternal rest and the bereaved the fortitude to bear the sad loss.
