BUSTED: Woman arrested for stealing another customer’s money in bank

Police detectives in Delta State Command have arrested a 27-year-old self-confessed prostitute and College of Education graduate for allegedly stealing the sum of N700,000 from a new generation bank in Asaba, Delta State.
LEADERSHIP Sunday learnt that the suspect now detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) cell, allegedly entered the bank where she operates a current account and made straight to the inner room, pretending to be a customer who wanted to lodge money into her bank account.
She allegedly removed N350,000 from a customer’s money placed on the counter without being caught. Nemesis, however, caught up with her when she came back and stole N400,000 and was caught by the detectives who acted on a tip-off.
It was gathered that the suspect a native of Uromi, Edo State has been living in Ubulu-Okiti, Aniocha South local government area.
ASP Lucky Uyabeme, police spokesman said the suspect was arrested following a report by a victim of her criminal acts.
