PDP Will Win More States From Opposition In 2015 – Sen. Lar
According to the Senate Committee Chairman on Drugs,Narcotics and EFCC, Senator Victor R. Lar (Plateau South, PDP), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
would remain in power at the centre and in most states beyond the 2015
general elections as there is still no viable alternative to the party
despite the crisis rocking the party and the formation of All
Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Lar, who was speaking with reporters in Jos yesterday, stated
that other parties had their own crisis and that high-profile names in
APC would not necessarily translate into victory for the opposition
party come 2015.
“I have been writing manifestos, campaigning and standing for elections for 31 years now, having started as a student union leader as far back as 1982. I know indices that account for victory. I can tell you that there is still no viable replacement for PDP. There is no party that does not have crisis; in fact, if you get to find out what is happening in other parties, you will find out that it is even worse. PDP will even get more states from the opposition in 2015 than it did in 2011,” Lar declared.
